Under the newly enacted Electronic and Postal Communication Act (EPOCA) no 3 of June 2010 that there be established CERT in Tanzania that among other will be a trusted focal point of contact within and beyond the national borders with the aim of responding to cyber threats. It is envisaged that the CERT will reside within the TCRA structure. This is within the Tanzania ICT Policy of 2003 that emphasis that the country should be neither a heaven nor a victim of cybercrime activities. Among my responsibilities will be setup and management of CERT Tanzania project.
